16 National - Jorge Martinez

    Hometown:  Yauco, Puerto Rico
 

Coach Jorge Martinez is our 16 National Team coach and the LRJ Athletic Director. He has been a great addition to our club coaching the 16’s age division since 2017, and as our Athletic Director since 2018. In his role as Athletic Director,  Coach Jorge works with our LRJ staff to ensure the overall success of player and coaching development.  Coach Jorge is actively involved in the community promoting the growth of the sport and has a passion for coaching volleyball that is off the charts! 

Coach Jorge’s coaching philosophy is based on teaching the correct technique, using the best data available to create a game plan, and helping each player learn how to play a system that is employed at most major colleges and most national teams throughout the world. He is committed to having every player who plays for Little Rock Juniors rise to the level of their athletic ability through training techniques and game strategy that is always evolving and growing.

Coach Jorge is the Head Coach of the High School Girls’ team at Mount St. Mary’s Academy. He has previous coaching experience in club volleyball both in Arkansas and his native country, Puerto Rico. He is also a traveling instructor for Gold Medal Squared Volleyball where he assists with other programs to develop an analytics-based approach to volleyball that has produced proven results for the US National Teams. As a player, Coach Jorge played college volleyball for the University of Puerto Rico.

 

16 Regional Plus - Jessica Crow

    Hometown:  North Little Rock, AR

Coach Jessica Crow is our 16 Regional Plus coach. Coach Jessica is a much known face in the volleyball community.  She played high school volleyball for North Little Rock High School and college volleyball at Williams Baptist University as a setter. For 5 years she served as a coach at Arkansas Juniors Storm Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas coaching age groups ranging between 12 and 16.

At the present Coach Jessica is the Head Freshman coach at Mount St. Mary and Assistant Coach for the Varsity team. This is her first year at Little Rock Juniors and she is very excited to work with the club and help improve and develop the skills of each athlete.

 

16 Regional - Erick Zayas

    Hometown:  Ponce, Puerto Rico

Coach Erick Zayas has been part of our club since 2018 serving as a utility coach. He primarily assisted with various practices and different specialty clinics. Coach Erick also assisted coaching at some tournaments and in our beach program this past summer. 

Growing up Coach Erick played basketball and volleyball. He decided to focus more on volleyball because he saw volleyball as a sport with many challenges and was very intrigued by it. He started playing volleyball at the age of 12 for Club Los Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rico and has not stopped playing since them. Coach Erick still participates in many indoor, beach and grass tournaments. What Coach Erick loves most about volleyball is the fact that the sport has opened many doors for him and he is now fulfilling one of his dreams.
